Irish worshippers and Dove Award-nominated band Rend Collective are known for pushing artistic boundaries, daring the faithful to re-imagine worship and community. A group of friends collectively wondering how to make sense of the conundrum of life, God and community, the band’s name is a nod to the places in Scripture where it says to “rend your hearts” and not your garments. A bold call to be genuine. A call that shows through in songs like “Come On My Soul,” “Alabaster,” “Praise Like Fireworks” and their radio and Youtube video hit “Build Your Kingdom Here.” With a rootsy, folk style and lyrics that are scriptural and both fresh and ancient, Rend Collective have recorded three critically acclaimed projects: Organic Family Hymnal, Homemade Worship By Handmade People and Campfire. In the spring of 2014, Rend releases The Art of Celebration, an album that focuses on the spiritual discipline of joy with the same raucous energy that has won fans the world over.
